Musical Production / Backstage Presentation
The backstage team for the upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz delivered a presentation to the Musical Theatre group. The presentation covered the main roles and responsibilities of a backstage crew and showcased the key set and costume design concepts currently being developed for the show. This initiative successfully highlighted the vital creative and collaborative work happening behind the scenes.

Our 3rd Grade students embarked on an inspiring journey to answer the question: How can we, as entomologists, educate younger students about the fascinating lives of insects and spiders? Bands at the Quermesse
The High School bands Special Report and Pretty Loud brought great energy to the School Quermesse! We also had the valuable contribution of the Staff Band, featuring Mr. Lucas Machado (Music), Ms. Keroll (English), Mr. Fábio (Maintenance), Mr. Cristiano (Science Support), and Mr. Lucas Amaral (Science).Their performances showcased talent, teamwork, and joy, making the celebration even more vibrant and memorable.

Middle School Ceramics
Students explored modeling and glazing in ceramics, developing technical skills and creativity. The project results in original pieces that reflect personal expression and an appreciation for creative craftsmanship.

In 5th Grade Drama classes, costumes play a central role in the creative process. Using the clothing pieces and accessories available in the Drama room, students assemble costumes that become the foundation for imagining characters and inventing narratives.

OBMEP Mirim
Twenty-five brave mathematicians from 4th Grade embarked on a new challenge – taking part in the OBMEP Mirim, the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for younger students by IMPA (Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada), when they tackled intriguing math word-problems, which require critical thinking and logical reasoning.

On May 24, the Alumni Brunch brought together former students for a special morning filled with reunions, fond memories, and meaningful conversations.
A warm atmosphere and a thoughtfully prepared brunch created the perfect setting to celebrate the lasting bonds that continue to unite our School community. The event also highlighted the value of each individual’s journey at OLM, keeping the connection with our shared history alive.

This quarter, 3rd Grade students embarked on a digital geography journey through the project My Neighborhood. Using Google Earth, Maps, and Street View, they explored their place in the world—from the planet to their local surroundings.

Easter, the most sacred celebration in the Catholic faith, marks Christ’s victory over sin and death. For our School and Parish, it’s a time of joy, renewal, and hope, reminding us to live with faith, love, and purpose. We teach our students that Easter is a living reality, that brings hope, comfort, and mercy to others.

The Peter Pan musical last month was an inspiring event. It showcased the remarkable growth and dedication of students throughout this significant project, which involved more than 80 students from three divisions and nearly 40 staff members!

Senior Kinder: Animal Lovers
Our Senior Kinder children embarked on a heartfelt animal rescue mission around the School, helping, among others, a muddy dog. Inspired by their acts of compassion, they created their own vet clinic to care for animals with love and teamwork. Now, fueled by imagination and empathy, they’re dreaming of global adventures to help animals across the world!

Building Ecosystems and Supporting Communities
In the Building Ecosystems and Supporting Communities project, 4th Grade students engaged in a community service initiative that combined science, STEAM, citizenship, and teamwork through four committees: finance, marketing, logistics, and sales. They explored topics like the water cycle, soil types, and balanced ecosystems, and built terrariums to sell at the International Festival. All proceeds were donated to an animal protection organization.

Cordel Literature
Our 8th Grade students dove into the rich world of Cordel Literature this quarter! From exploring its roots to reading O Auto da Compadecida by Ariano Suassuna, they brought tradition to OLM by creating their own cordel booklets and woodcut prints.

AP Bio Lab
